Berlingo boot not opening!! Any ideas

2009 berlingo – the boot release is doing NOTHING – any ideas?

dunno about 09s , but older ones were prone to the innerds bending when people used the handle to lift the tailgate.

get inside – pull the door card off and take a gander.

this is more button than lever though

at a loss then as i just work on bangers 😀

I can’t answer your question, but I do have an 09 mk3 berlingo.

You say 09 but it could be the old style as they were still sold new then.

Anyhow, regardless I’d be taking off the door card from the inside. In the meantime, you can get reasonable boot access by sliding the doors and just folding a seat forward.

It’s a Citroen. It could be low tyre pressures. 😀

Seriously though. Is there not a little panel in the boot trim near the lock that if you take it off there’s a lever to open the boot? There is in my skoda.

Just google it and it doesn’t look like there is. Not conclusive though cause I couldn’t find reference to the same model as yours. Have a look. You never know.

This happened to my Peugeot 307, there isn’t a panel to remove to pull a catch but a screwdriver will spring the normal catch easily enough. Obviously not something you want to do long term!

The locking mechanism was corroded to I replaced with one off ebay for a few quid.

If you get me the last 8 of the vin I’ll tell you what wire or fuse to check, if it’s a later type handle micro switches are common.
