Bank trasnfers…

Might be a stupid question – but i have just transfered my money from the HBOS account to another account elsewhere.

All i filed in was the sort code and acc number – i assume this is enough ? There wasnt a field to fill in the banks name etc so is it all done automatically ??

as long as you got them both right, this is enough…

So how do they know what bank to send it to then ?

sort code = bank and branch id.
