As above really, it looks like i can get an aluminium frame and carbon fork for £200.00, but the set will weigh in ~2 kilos. i’ve had a look around and i’m struggling to find some realistic weight to compare this against…….any ideas if this is light/heavy/about average….?

    thanks

    I got a 1300gm frame for £100 and a 400gm fork for £30 S/H, but I considered a real bargain!

Doesn’t sound unreasnoble, but does sound like its a bit cheep. You could probably get something much better 2nd hand? I’d trust 2nd hand expensive cabron before i trusted new cheep carbon.

Planet X RT57 is <1kg for the frame, and that’s really light for £600 (fork included in the price but not the weight, so add about 300-350g). At arround the same price you could get an aluminium frame with a carbon fork from Canyon or Rose weighing arround 1150+300g.
