Does this apply to trail centre car parks too? Or are you supposed to keep your soaking wet bib-shorts on all the way home?

Lol dez remember looking up one day at ae and seeing beaver at 12 o’clock, it was a surprise…

Then again I do also remember dropping all at the back of the pencil factory in Keswick as a bus full of school girls rolled past.

My Dad stopped worrying about being nekkid in front of anyone once he turned 70.
I reckon he’s earned the right.

It is a weird one, being from a rugby playing background and we had a female masseur at the end of my playing career we only started to cover up to save our embarrassment. At home I started to cover up when my youngest daughter who was aged about 12 was getting all embarrassed and mentioned it……I honeslty never gave it a first thought as the eldest daughter had not raised said issue. I think that it’s still the case now that my youngest is more body conscious than the eldest daughter and my granddaughter has given me a quasi sl look when she dived in the loo whilst I was having a bath but then she only 3 and has no father in her life or other males in her life at all so it’s only natural for her to spot the obvious difference between the female and male body.
Nude bodies are fine even in car parks I really don’t care and have enough common decency not to stare even if it was a female……….I think 😆

In seriousness, my local baths put an age limit of i think 7 on it. Up till then my daughters came into the male communal area with me. We now use the unisex area and shower with trunks / cossies on. Even that’s becoming an issue, where my youngest is such a tomboy she refuses to wear a cossie and wears board shorts and a rash vest, and doesn’t really understand why she has to keep her top half covered whereas boys don’t – it’s not like she has any breasts yet (and they’re definitely smaller than mine 😳 ) – but when she gets to the shower she takes her top off and uses it to stop the soap going in her eyes. I’m not sure when this is also ‘inappropriate’ (she’s nearly 9)

At home. Almost anything goes. Although i have stopped windmilling in front of them now, I don’t rush over and try and hump the wife if I catch her in a state of nudity if there’s a chance of being seen (but policy is that when alone / after lights out then it’s compulsory to try, even if you do get beaten off – kind of like an oversexed Kato) and i definitely wouldn’t let them see me with anything vaguely resembling wood, let alone hit them with it.

that still counts as sex after being married for 20 years…

LOL – a mate of mine with 3 kids told me he had never had a bath with them which I thought was rather sad. My 9 year old daughter is getting more aware of her body now but I don’t cover up in front of any of them yet. I guess it’s time to stop when they start getting embarrassed by it – high school probably?

We are so uptight about nakedness in this country. It’s very different in Scandinavia and nothing to do with dodgy sexual practices!

To be honest I haven’t either – but with two of them always bathing together there isn’t really room for a third person.

I used to, but then there was an ‘incident’ involving a floater* and i don’t any more.

    * In fairness, I thought it was just going to be a fart and only a bit came out. but the girls were very upset by it.

Having made the above comment ^ I would go with whatever the family feels comfortable with.

When they ask you to stop being naked in front of them.. That’s the right time to stop I guess..

Got two girls 5 & 9. I’d say 4 was old enough. I’ll always cover up in front of them but if I didn’t they’d yell at me. They are definitely at the age now where the last thing thy want to see is dad naked. We will still share a changing room at the swimming pool but I’ll always have a towel on.

Funny how most dads with daughters will have agonised over this at some point. Stopped having baths with them when they were 3.

No kids here, but surely if they are young enough to come into the wrong gender changing rooms they can’t be considered too old to see adults of the opposite gender naked, even non-related ones.

Mind you I was baffled to see signs in a single sex swimming pool shower saying costumes must be worn…it was also the only shower available for gym users so I hadn’t even got a costume to wear. WTF was that about?

I think this is dangerous territory. These innocuous events might seem like fun within the family, but try explaining them in the interview room at the local police station!

I won’t let my girlfriend’s six year old boy get into our bed for a cuddle with us unless my genitals are covered with some sort of clothing. It’s a sorry state of affairs, I know, but look at all the people who’s lives have been ruined as a result of spurious peodofile witch hunts!

Meh people are far too uptight about being naked.

If they grow up being used to seeing what a “normal” naked body looks like then surely that is better than their only reference being “perfect” bodies in the media?

Anyways, daughters of 4.5 and 1.5 here. Only one bathroom upstairs so quite normal for all four of us to be in there at one time in a morning. Privacy is overrated. 😀

This. I just hope that I’m not setting standards that my two daughters’ future partners can’t meet.

Nah, extremely natural. Nothing sinister about it. As any dad with young kids can can agree. For people who thing there is something wrong with very young kids seeing their parents naked then they are the ones with issues.

Obviously there is a cut off point, if there wasn’t then the would indeed be cause for concern.

I had a mate with quite a fit mum when I was a youngster. They were a liberal family – and his mum and dad would wander around the house naked. Whenever I called round I’d ring the doorbell, then sneak a peek through the tiny frosted glass window in the hope that I’d get the blurred beaver flash as his mum rushed upstairs to put some clothes on. 🙂

Thing was, sometimes it was his dad. 😐

Then very occasionally, it was his older sister. 😀

Absolutely not. If I have been jiggy with my wife I’ll put something on when they get into bed with us on a morning, but being naked whilst I wash them in single sex showers seems perfectly normal to me. Thankfully others share my point of view.

Are you absolutely sure you actually have kids?

Surely the time to question it is:

    a) Have they complained?
    b) Are you just going about some business [shower, changing etc] where you happen to be naked.

I mean if you’re not trying to show them your nakedness, or vice-versa, and no-one including themselves cares, then there’s no harm in it.

If you happen to be naturist/nudest, then it’s a trickier one. It can be done, or course, a friend of mine is from a family like that, and it was never an issue – they just handled it correctly.

If the last line above is you – consider moving further north, where it will shrink if you expose it to air and no-one could possibly get swaffled [****-slapped] by mistake.

When my old man was in his late 60s, whilst staying at his house, I saw him wandering naked down a dim corridor at night on the way to the loo, thought he was Gollum, not a nice memory so certainly before then.

I did hit one of my girls in the face with it to which she said ‘stop putting it in me daddy’, which caused the original discussion

There’s the opening line to your speech on her wedding day, right there.

    You can thank me later.

I made a wrong turn in Slovenia on a bike ride and ended up staying the night at a nudist camp in Austria once. I did think it was a bit weird seeing families with older kids there.

I am NEVER buying another bike off theotherjonv, ever again. I don’t care how cheap it is. The more I read from him on here, the more worried I become about meeting him in a motorway services car park late at night. 😉

Though it may explain why my wife insisted on coming along for that purchase…. 😯

Used to have a bath my my two daughters quite regularly when they were younger (they never asked to bath with my wife for some reason). As I recall, when each got to about 8 or 9 they made it quite clear they didn’t want to any more, and indeed found the sight of me tackle oot a tad disturbing. If I occasionally get caught out naked now (girls in their teens) I get an anguished “da a a a d……” followed by loud retching noises. A tad harsh I feel.

On the subject of naked old people, when my parents were alive I once received a call from my mum to ask me to go over to theirs as my (mid-80’s) dad had fallen over in the bathroom and couldn’t get up. Issue being he was in the habit of staying naked when in the house. After trying for about 30 mins to get him up I had to admit defeat and call for a paramedic (a middle-aged woman who bollocked my dad soundly for being naked). Not a memory I relish frankly.

Appropriate age for you to be naked round them is up to them. Appropriate age to cock slap them in the face in public, probably never.

Your children might not be as cool about parental nudity as you are but might be even less comfortable mentioning it to their parents . I have 2 daughters who probably didn’t see me or their mother naked past the age of about 2 and have turned out well .
On a slightly different note , I went to an all boys school and we had a school swimming pool where you could go swimming in your lunch hour if you wanted . If you had no trunks you were allowed to swim naked . Teachers also used the pool at the same time and were also allowed to swim naked if they wanted . So you could have 45 year old blokes hanging around naked with 14 year old boys . Not something that would happen in this day and age , and rightly so .

After you’d negotiated me down I didnt much feel like throwing in any extras. If you’d paid me the full price I’d have gladly windmilled for you.

Gentleman thank you!! I’m genuinely crying with laughter here!!

I don’t have kids, so obviously don’t have to worry about being seen naked in the house….can’t say I spend much if anytime wandering around naked other than going for a pee in the middle of the night though!

I remember running a !0k years ago and after winning was very pleased with myself. I was talking to a few guys in the changing rooms who I had just battered, being the winner and all (not sure I mentioned that) when 3 women came in, undressed and started to use the showers as theirs were broken.
I was quite surprised given the changing rooms were full of around 20 blokes at the time but fair play to them.
Anyway I had a big trophy to collect so didnt hang around 🙂
