As it seems like it’s going to rain forever, I need to invest in a new jacket.

Has anyone tried this one and if so, how is it?  Cheers

Saw this and nearly bought one. I bought an Endura MT500 a couple years ago but it was always a bit tight for me. Luckily though, this year’s attempt at weight loss is seemingly working for once and I’m on a roll and now my Endura one fits nicely so (annoyingly as I love new kit) I will have to pass.

Decent price. It looks like a 2.5L job which can get pretty hot when you’re putting effort in, but Planet X clothing is always pretty good IMO – can’t imagine that it will be much different from like a Fox Ranger or something at a more expensive PP. I have a road waterproof jacket from Carnac which is probably the same material these days and I quite like it.

I’d be checking out decathlons latest offerings (forclaz or quencha ranges), usually have decent jacket that have pitzips around that price range, as those shoulder vents are u/s

@funkrodent – no didn’t go for this in the end.  Decided that with massive discount via the stw sub, I could afford a gore endure instead.

Doesn’t look bad to be fair. I thought they’d gone bust tho! Or was that just speculation?!

Bought by Winlong Garments Limited, who are owned by private equity firm Baaj Capital LLP. Nope, never heard of either company either, but they still exist and TBH a bit of slightly ruthless corporate business-ness might not do them any harm in the long term.  It’d be nice so see some of the clothing actually get developed as a range rather than just random items of varying fit and quality.

    + a half.

The £39 Van Rysel semi-transparentrain jacket is popular among roadies, but is probably a bit fragile for off-road (and the cut is pretty much head down, arse up so won’t suit bimbling) .
