Only the emulator, when I was writing an app for it. I liked it as far as a virtual phone on a computer goes!

The app is here[/url] if you’re interested

Not tried a WM7 but the previous versions of WM were truly terrible.

It’s unfair to compare Windows Phone 7 to any earlier versions, as it’s a re-engineering from the ground up.

I have the Samsung Omnia 7 and am quite impressed. It has a few gaping holes but from a usability point of view it’s streaks ahead of Android and iPhone. Tethering is built in but needs a bit of effort to enable. Microsoft have been pretty strict regarding operator customisations, so T-Mobile et al can’t load it up with shite before you get it.

Disadvantages? No copy + paste, not an enormous app library, and the games are very expensive (about £5 each).

Interesting, I’m looking at one which will be a personal and work phone so sync’ing wiht outlook and office would obviously be useful and i’m sure are good with these. Only thing is i’d like 720p recording and the Mozart doesn’t have that 🙄

iPhone does that, but I expect you already knew that and don’t want a “Jesus Phone”.

Ive also got an omnia 7 and am really happy with it, it just works, outlook is particularly nice.
Id second the limited selection of apps/games but theres enough for the basics.
Also get reminders/next appointments on the front screen which is good

Omnia 7 here too (also have jesus4 for work) and so far impressed! Awesome screen, full of depth and colour! Syncs with your x box account, pc, Facebook etc! Keypad is too small for builder fingers! I’ve heard rumours that Microsoft are really going to push the app market this year so that should also improve!!

That’s the first time I’ve heard someone say that. Can you elaborate?

I’ll try replying again, seeing as my last post is lost in cyberspace somewhere……

Cant’s see how there could be any reason to improve on Android, although I’ve only been using it for a short time and have come from Symbian, so a kick in the gonads would probably be an improvement.

However, to the phone – mine copies (in a magnified window) and pastes, has a huge apps library (mostly free/cheap), has a huge 4.3″ screen, thus giving decent space for a touch keyboard, which has a fantastic spell checker/word suggestion to cope with clumsy fat fingers. It finds my media centres and links to them, has Dolby SRS sound and 720p video.

Can’t say I’m fussed about Outlook, as I don’t have it on my PC anyway.

Got a brand new LG optimus 7 for sale if anyone’s interested? Not had much chance to try it out, just charged it and had a quick look around. The gps looks impressive

    I’ve got an HTC HD2.

Rubbish. Battery life poor; Bluetooth connection unreliable and phone reception variable.

I find I use my old Nokia more and more. Because it just works. They are a company selection, made because of all the tinsel rather than how well it works.

Windows phones were selected to give our cretinous Systems dept a chance of working out whats going on if they go wrong.

MM doesn’t work on a WM7 phone according to the MM website!
It works great on my HD2 though 🙂
