Just put some big silly wide flat bars on my bike – but the bar end plugs that fit my old bars seem to be too small and won't stay put inside the ends of the bar.

Anyone else had this? Where would I get slightly bigger bar end plugs? 😕

I have both the risers and the flat Nukeproof bars and have no problem with either. The risers have proper endcaps on the lockon grips but the flats have standard bar end plugs that came with the lizard skin north shore lockon grips.

Ta – hmmm how strange. Will try and dig out some other end plugs and see if it's the same. This is with some token lock on grips.

Use some duct tape round the ends of the plugs, they should push in alright then (what I did)

I had that problem, I used 'lecy tape to make them fit.

Cheaper – or more acurately different ali grades or material – handle bars are made from thicker material so the internal diameter is smaller. If you're reusing end plugs they may have been squashed by the old bars.

I use lock-on grips with integrated end caps so it's not an issue.

Cheers folks – will try a bit of tape.
