    Lots to do

See the new lifeboat station on the pier
Walk around the coastal path to Langland or Caswell
    Walk along the promenade
Visit the Gower beaches, e.g. 3 cliffs bay, rhosilli, etc
MTB trials and family walks in the Clyne valley
Go to 360 watersports centre on the bay
    Oystermouth Castle in mumbles
Have coffee in Verdis or visit one of the many other cafes/bars/restaurants
Visit Joiners Arms pub with microbrewery in Bishopston, or Kingshead in Reynoldston, or
Walk to Pwll du bay (very scenic) from Bishopston
    Drive to Afan (40min)
Archery at centre on gower near oxwich

-In Swansea the museum, marina, SA1 redevelopment, leisure centre, waterfront museum area may appeal.
    -Lots of good curry houses
-Excellent leisurely cycle from Mumbles to other end of Swansea bay and then back. various places to stop and eat icecream etc on the way.

Been to Mumbles? Course I have – I live just up the road! 😉

If you bring transport there’s plenty to do. If you’re going to rely on public transport, less so. And if you’re trying to stay in Mumbles for the whole week you’ll struggle to fill your time, although it’s a nice place.

Jonny’s given a good list above (how are you Jonny? 🙂 ) but I’d add:

    – go for a Joe’s ice-cream.
    – for children the Heritage Centre, Parkmill in Gower is nice. There are also some nice walks around that part of Gower.
    – the Wetlands centre, Penclcwydd, on the way to Llanelli is nice as well.
    – loads of castles quite literally everywhere. Take one home with you.
    – I don’t like the beer in the Joiners. 😥 Better beer elsewhere imo.
    – don’t drive to Afan, ride in Clyne or on Kilvey, or Gower. You can go to a trail centre anytime. If can find the locals’ trails you’ll have a much better time. 😀 Give me a shout if you want a guide, I’ll see what I can do.

Parents have just moved back that way, Bishopston, lovely part of the word, beautiful coast and some good pubs with local brews.
This is Christmas day walk view of 3 cliffs bay and Oxwich

The Gower is one of my favourite parts of the country,we have had some great holidays down there.
Loved Casswell bay when the kids were small, bodyboarding, rock pooling and cliff top walks round to Langland.

DougD…We went all the way out to Worms Head at low tide last time, brilliant place 🙂

The beaches on the Gower are amazing, some are a bit of a walk from the car park though. If I remember correctly three cliffs and Rhosilli can be a bit of a trek. Especially for the extremes of your age range. Guess it depends on how fit they are.

We’d vo to the Mumbles for the day just for the ice cream.
