A work mate is looking to buy a 4 or 5″ full suss. Mainly for trail centre & XC use. He been looking at some ex demo commencals at the LBS for sub 1000 and isn’t too fussed on make or model, he is just looking for a decent bike sub 1000 and will consider secondhand.

Anyone got some recommnedations of where to look?

    Cheers

Giant Trance and Trance X at Pedalon, Pauls Cycles and Ash Cycles. Good stock levels between those three when I was looking a short time ago.

Stew, G&G have a sale on as has the Ae shop(Specialised Pitch)

Scotby in Carlisle have loads of offers on as well.
Try Palace Cycles down Botchergate in Carlisle for Giant deals.

Then there is the Hub @ GT, usually flogging demo/hire bikes on a regulr basis

New Prophet 2 is £1099, if you look around you may be able to get a discount (or if you join a club you might be able to get discount through your LBS etc.)
