In theory there supposed to last longer but ive found them just the same as standard bearings. My only experience with them has been in my new heckler the non pinch bolt version. Bought in Aug 2010 not ridden that much as ive 2 other bikes and the bearings exhibit play already. Ive owned a few bullits before, similar single pivot design and the standard bearings would last about 4-5 months and that was my only bike then. My query is why pay more for an angular contact bearing when its still only gonna last roughly the same as a standard bearing. Ive also tried full complement MAX bearings in the bullit before only to find they lasted about the same as a cheap standard bearing that was repacked with lithium grease before fitting. I think due to the load (esp on single pivots) and the limited rotation of pivot bearings and there application with the dirt and water etc it doesnt matter what bearing you use as they all have a very limited life.
    anyone find anything different ?

The heckler (new style with no pinch bolts) use MAX bearings. Mine were creaking and cracking on wednesdays ride, stripped the pivot yesterday and the ebarinsg were rusty and gritty as ****. Very notchy 🙁

Replaced em with some SKF none MAX bearings (6902rs) that i ahd spare from a hope pro 2 rear hub

From what ive worked out 7902 bearings are angular contact, as theres no difference between them and the 6902 there both 15x28x7mm. Just was wondering why SC were specing them
