I’m looking for an Android equalizer app that will allow me to save custom profiles (which I know loads do) but with this little twist – it’ll know what thing I’m connected to via Bluetooth and apply a given setting automatically. So, say, I can have a “kitchen speaker” profile and a “van stereo” profile and a “garage speakers” profile, and it will apply those profiles automatically when I connect to those speakers.

Am I looking for something that doesn’t exist?

I played around with Wavelet a little while ago when i was bluetoothing to stereo (x3), car (xlots), headphones (over ear), headphones (in ear), outdoor speakers (x2) etc. Now i only have a couple of sets of bluetooth headsets, everything else is WiFi and has it’s own built in EQ. So i didn’t install it on this phone.
It seems to still be around and popular though.

Edit:- Just installed it again and it seems to still work how i remember. Only tried two devices though.

Start playing music with a connected device, open wavelet.

If you can’t find an EQ app that does that, then IFTT should be able to do it.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en_GB

IF connected to kitchen speaker, THEN select EQ profile One for example.

I used to use it change sound profiles between work and home before that became it’s own thing.

Check out ‘poweramp’ previously known as DbPoweramp…

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer&hl=en_GB

You can use the free version to check it out, and if you get on with it, get the full fat paid version for about £7.

The interface takes a bit of getting used to, but (without checking ) im sure you can save several ‘EQ’ profiles.

I don’t think it does streaming though, only for local music files.

This sounds like a job for an EQ app you like (without that feature) combined with one of those fiddly settings app like Tasker or Easer.

EDIT this is really just a version of citizenlee’s suggestion I now realise.

USB audio player pro or Hiby music app , either may work and the USB app bypasses the Android resampling issue

Or have a look here, loads to choose from for android eq
