Accommodation around or near by – CYB

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay around CYB for a week please ?

Cottage, flat, lodge etc, as long as it has secure bike storage…and if possible a good pub within walking distance 🙂

When my friend and I went in November we stopped at Tyn y Groes[/url].

You can’t get much closer to the trail centre and the beer, food, rooms and storage for bikes and kit are first rate.

Oh, sorry, I missed the length of stay part.

I stayed here for a week a couple of years ago. Its on the outskirts of Dolgellau, a short walk from some good pubs (and a curry house) and the guy who runs it (Gilbert Gauntlet) is a proper eccentric. He’s an ex-surgeon who basically ran the town’s hospital and when you arrive he gives you a little demonstration on how to correctly light a fire (useful for all those confused townies who don’t have a clue).

I’ve also stayed at Bikers Retreat[/url] which is also excellent.
