Flat pedals may not always win medals but they sure do win an awful lot of hearts and minds. Fearless flattie fan Fearon has always been worth watching. Whether he’s riding in a social shreddit or racing a World Cup run, Connor repays your precious eyeball time.
Anyway the news angle here, should we need one, is that Connor Fearon is leaving Kona Bikes after 10 years service with the iconic Canadian bike brand.
Not that we really need a news angle to feature a video from Connor Fearon. He’s just awesome and entertaining to watch.
Kona HQ: “As we all do our part in closing out the 2021 year, we want to acknowledge the closing of a chapter that isn’t easy for us. After more than a decade of working with Connor Fearon, the time has come for us to wish him well in his future and say our thank you and goodbyes. While it is easy for us to dwell on the sentimental sadness that can come from saying goodbye to a friend, we instead want to focus on how grateful we are for 10 years of working with Connor – rooting for him at every race, watching him grow as an athlete, and reminiscing on the good times that have always embodied the Kona Way.
“Originally, we set out to make Connor a short farewell video, but trying to cram ten years of flat pedal madness into four minutes was never going to happen. So instead, we bring you ten minutes of Connor doing what he does best. Please join us in thanking Connor Fearon for ten amazing, fun, and mind-melting, shred-ful years.”
Connor Fearon: “The end of 2021 will mark the close of this chapter of my career with Kona. It’s been nothing but great times and countless achievements that have been made possible by the great people at the Kona Bicycle Company. Thanks for the good times and I’ll see you out on the trails!”
Fearon’s palmares include a 2nd place at Enduro World Series in Derby (AUS) and a fifth overall in the 2016 World Cup series.
And while, we’re here, let’s watch Fearon’s segment from Gamble again. Just because. Corners.
