2020 Team Rumours: Rob Warner to Vitus?

by 0

Red Bull commentator and mountain bike legend, Rob Warner, could be making a move to Vitus bikes in 2020.

Rob Warner has been a part of downhill mountain biking in some form or another since the discipline first took off and gained popularity.

Over the years, this colourful mountain bike character has had an equally colourful career including being a long time Giant rider, starring in an episode of You Bet, before moving into commentary with Freecaster and now Red Bull.

While Mr Warner turned his back on racing quite a few years ago, he has always managed to retain a bike sponsor. The majority of his career with Giant, before a brief stint with Commencal, and now YT however, this could be changing again for 2020.

Rob Warner moving to Vitus in 2020?

A post today on Rob Warner’s Instagram stories shows a set of custom decals made for him by Merge Decals. The custom sticker pack is destined to be fitted to his new Yamaha, and features a few logos from Warner’s sponsors Troy Lee Designs and Vitus… Wait what!?

If you’ve missed viewing the photo on Instagram then head over to the Merge Decals Facebook Page where it’s still up and shows Vitus dominating the decal pack.

At the time of writing there hasn’t been an official statement from Rob Warner, Vitus or YT, but this looks to confirm that Warner will no longer be part of the Young Talent crew in 2020.
