We’re getting very close to the doors opening. What is looking particularly hot for 2014?

Visitors will be able to try out their dream bike on the 500m RCUK Test Track, providing a great opportunity to check out some of the newest bikes on the market. Many exhibitors including Scott, Giant, Cannondale, Boardman, Canyon, Continental, HOY, Schwalbe, Rapha, Kinesis and more will be showcasing their bikes, clothing and products at the Show – you might even pick up a great deal.

The Show provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to buy their first bike, upgrade or purchase a top end road bike, buy their child a new bike or to purchase new clothing and accessories.

The Cycling Performance Theatre will return to the show, giving visitors the chance to hear from a range inspirational experts. From current and former pro cyclists, to coaches and nutrition experts, plus the world’s best bike fitting experts.

It’s always great to see a ‘show within a show’. What’s planned?

The awesome Animal WD-40 Action Sports Tour display team will be returning, featuring Blake Samson, James Jones and Ryan McNamara as well as a special guest trials rider will be wowing the crowds, mixing incredible skill, control and balance with some spectacular aerial action. The guys will not only be providing crowd pleasing entertainment, but also giving visitors opportunities to win some very special Action Sports Tour gear.

And there’s even more pro riding to be seen in the form of the DMR Pump Track Challenge. The UK’s best will race head to head on two 200m timber tracks over rollers and beams as they bid to become the champion in pursuit of the DMR cash prize. Plus if you want to have a go, there will be sessions where you can learn from the best across all four days!

What’s brand new?

For 2014 we’re introducing the ICS Fit Zone; a spin off of the International Cyclefit Symposium which is taking place on the Thursday and Friday of the Show at ExCeL. ICS is the World’s leading bike fitting conference and we’re delighted to have four of the world’s top fitting systems – Cyclefit, Body Geometry Fit, BikeFitting.com and Retul – on display in The London Bike Show itself.

Cyclefit are offering their fitting services at the Show and Retul are running demonstrations every day, whilst the others will be on hand to talk through their systems and how they can improve the cyclist’s experience in the saddle. Also keep an eye out for any special guests who might be coming along!

For the car lovers out there, there will be a chance to stroke the stunning new SEAT Leon ST too.

Guest speaker wise, who’s lined up for the mic?

Confirmed are Sir Chris Hoy, Team Sky and British Cycling Physio Phil Burt, Anna Glowinski and bike fitting gurus Todd Carver, Keith Bontrager and Andy Pruitt.
