Feature-wise the jersey has three rear pockets for stashing stuff if you’re a pack-free kinda guy, and a small zipped pocket for media devices. There’s some subtle reflective piping going on for a bit of extra visibility if you’re caught out and find yourself on the inevitable road section in low light. Small silicone prints on the shoulders help with pack strap retention. The Humvee has a relaxed fit and classic design look about it, complemented by the choice of black, blue, burgundy and red colour choice. It doesn’t scream ‘cyclist’ and that’s a good thing in my opinion.
The Humvee has held up well over the course of the test and still looks like new, although admittedly around here I don’t experience that many overgrown trails. I’ve found it the perfect weight of fabric for spring and autumn frosty start rides where the venting and deep zip have come in useful once things have warmed up. As a rider who uses a pack I’d be quite happy to ditch the rear pockets, though.
Overall: A no-nonsense jersey that works well for three season riding. Tough, wicks well and does the job.
