We were well impressed when we test rode the Blur TRc at its launch and the good news is it’s now available in aluminium. Here’s the news from Santa Cruz:
New Alu SANTA CRUZ BLUR TR is HERE!
The all new aluminum Santa Cruz Blur TR delivers all the same aggressive ride features of the beloved carbon TRc, in a more economical package.
With 125mm of VPP suspension, relaxed angles, massive frame stiffness throughout and a 5 year warranty… the TR is just begging to be thrashed harder than an FIA president.
Attention to the uphill part of the equation includes internal routing for Reverb Stealths and even 2 bottle cage mounts.
Here’s Josh ‘Ratboy’ Bryceland ripping the loam on one
UK pricing has just been confirmed as the same as a Blur LT at £1749 for a frame and shock

As far as I can see, a bike in the configuration that I’d actually want would be ~£4-4.5k. That’s economical? Ouch.
