The inaugural Scottish Bike Show continues to gather pace as Alpine Bikes have confirmed their participation as one of the lead sponsors. They will be taking over a huge 200 square metre area to showcase Trek Bikes and Gore Bike wear as their two prominent brands. The show is going to be held on the 16th and 17th of April at the SECC in Glasgow.

Bryan Shedden, Director of Alpine Bikes Ltd said “Alpine Bikes are delighted to support the Scottish Bike Show and we are looking forward to being part of the first bike show in Scotland.”

Rowan Mackie, event organiser said: “Seeing as Alpine Bikes are the biggest independent cycle retailer in the whole of Scotland, their participation is a landmark for the event.”

The organiser added that this should send out a message of intent to all other companies who are still undecided about exhibiting at the first time show and should encourage more bike companies to come onboard soon. As the only major bike show ever held further north than Birmingham, the show offers a great chance for more northerly cyclists to have the chance to see all the latest kit and see the demo teams that will be at the show, as well as for companies who wish to get exposure in an area that’s excluded from many shows due to their location.

Tickets can be found at Ticketsoup whereby 10% of all tickets sold will be donated to “The Prostate Cancer Charity” and a full list of companies attending the event can be found on the Scottish Bike Show website.
