Physiosupplies have recently introduced a new range of unisex hip protection underwear, aimed at extreme sport enthusiasts, such as mountain bikers.
The new Impacta underwear is designed to help prevent any serious injury to the hip and tail-bone area as a result of a crash or fall, by incorporating a soft, thin layer of padding over each hip bone to help absorb impact.
The impact pads are made from a new protective material called Koroyd, which it is claimed can absorb up to 80% of transmitted impact forces and greatly reduce the possibility of a hip fracture occurring.
The designers claim that the pads are unnoticeable under clothing and will not affect an athlete’s performance.
The briefs retail at £29.99 and can be bought here
