If you’ve never ridden in the Forest of Dean, now’s the perfect opportunity to come and try some of the Forest’s delights. On the 27th September the annual and much anticipated Forest of Dean Enduro gets underway in one of Europe’s biggest forests.
For the 4th year those dedicated guys at The Royal Forest of Dean CC have put together a slightly revised 10-mile circuit in this hugely popular forest, to test you to the limit. Incorporating seemingly endless singletrack sections along with smooth undulating fire roads, pushing you to the edge of your comfort zone with steep climbs and fun inducing descents.
The event is open to anyone from the age of 12 upwards and don’t worry if you’re not an elite rider, you don’t have to be to come along and give enduro racing a go, you’re sure to enjoy the challenge whatever your fitness. You can choose between doing 1, 2 or 4 laps, you decide, but remember this course is tough enough to give the hard guys and girls a demanding marathon, but is still a fun and perfectly achievable circuit for novices. And as an added bonus entry prices haven’t risen.
Prizes are on offer for the top 3 in each category and with great atmosphere, outstanding scenery and some awesome trails (and hopefully some of that all elusive sunshine..) we can ensure an exciting day of riding plus an entertaining day out for all the family. Surprisingly near to the major conurbations of London and Birmingham, The Forest of Dean is easily accessible by road from the M4 (M48), M5 and M50 motorways.
Remember entries have to be in by the 23rd September, there won’t be any entries on the day.
