I order a pair of them there Deore wheels yesterday from Merlin. Mainly because the nice red bits will match her indoor’s bike nicely. Plus, what stonking VFM.
I was looking at the Spooky Horror Taxi on the spooky site the other day. It looks fabulous. There is something very ‘right’ about all the angles/tubes/graphics/etc.
Lovely and not too expensive really for what it is.
4X bike review sounds interesting. Keep thinking about a 4X full sus for trail riding. Seem to be some of the few short travel full-sus bikes that aren’t aimed at XC racing.
i love hardtails but they get a bit much on longer rides, especially on long-bumpy-flat-bits.
I wonder what length the Bass takes, always struck me as quite a cool idea, and cheaper than a flow.
they should do it frame only too i think, the spec on them is rubbish.
Winces at “chainstay crushing”
Benji

Stonemonkey – I’m not at liberty to say really as a proper review will be in the September issue of Singletrack mag I’m afraid.
Benji what can you say ?, would you buy one? my mates in the states so i need to act fast.
I wouldn’t buy any bike without riding it, no matter what any rider/reviewer said.
Is this one of the Wight mtn bikes? Im sheffield based and struggling to find one anywhere else

Any clues as to which 4x bikes you’re reviewing? Please?!
Hopefully… Kona Bass, Commencal Meta 4X, S-Prezzo Gam-Jam, Foes 4X, Transition Double.
Interested in the Commencal, would’ve been nice to include the new Tazer VP, Yeti 4X and the Morewood Ndiza, but can’t grumble!
Its also a shame Santa Cruz can’t get their act together and sort out a new blur 4x instead of messing around with silly 29ers!!!

Funnily enough I was thinking; good job they have started messing around with sensible 29ers!! 🙂
Ditto handyman’s comment when will the bar ends be in the online shop?
Matt looks to have gone from singlespeed-fanatic / just wrong-styled beard to heavy-night-last-night -style.
