    I mentioned a front mech tensioning device on another thread and someone else had never seen one before and was intrigued as to what it was like, so here it is:

    as you can see it’s just a bit of plastic but does a good job. no need for loads of turns on the barrel adjuster.

    whhaaaaa? how does this work then? im sick of my front mech tension, when it drops into granny ring it always ends up slackening off and then wont go up easily into middle/outer ring…..

    will this device fix it, ive never heard of such a thing, is it a pisstake 😆

    Not quite sure I get the drift of this.
    These spacers, supplied with new mechs, are only used during initial installation to assist in aligning the mech over the big ring before you attach the cable.

    i cant even use the space for initial installation, due the frame, i cant physcially get it out once ive set the mech up…so had to start again removing that spacer…

    Coleman, yes you only use it for initial installation. You don’t leave it in there, obviously 😆
