This is from a few years back. I woke up and opened the curtains to this, one morning. I fell down a flight of stone steps, in proper Tom and Jerry fashion, in my rush to get up to the top of the hill with my camera before it disappeared.
This might make a good subject for an illustration
The steeple is the church where my mates got married later that day. Which was nice.
Top of Snowdon on Xmas Eve about 2006. I stopped and a lady asked if she could take my pic. Amazingly she remembered my email address and sent it on to me
On top of Great Dunn Fell (the highest accessible tarmacked road in the UK apparently) with the Lake District mountains in the distance. Horrible weather for most of the ride until we got halfway up.
Not my photos but that’s me in the first one, top of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh, taken by a random chap with a camera called Rory Cooper who I accosted at the time. Just a grey foggy day in town but spectacular up the hill, the fog was flowing like a river past us.
Took these from Thornthwaite beacon, about 6 weeks ago.
In the bottom photo, Kentmere is down on the left and Troutbeck is down on the right, and Windermere is straight ahead.
