yawn….cranham riders………beware!

Out in the woods this morning and it appears that the local carpenter has been up there, at the very top of the shrine he (or she) must have dropped their tool box full of nails and didn’t bother to pick them up. Probably about 1000+ nails, tacks and staples, so if you are doing any DIY this weekend and need some nails there are plenty up there! On a more serious note, I think its now worth contacting English nature (?) About this. Will let you know the outcome. Enjoy

What really gets my goat is the injury they can cause to wild animals and dogs……never mind bike tyres.
Surely is a criminal offence….fly tipping I know….but it’s a little more serious than that.

I would say the landowner, just say you were walking your dogs, don’t want to start up the mtb issue yet. And english nature as they are the leaseholders.

Yep was gonna go with the walking thing and see if I. an contact the warden. The nails looked like they type used to nail fence panels together, wayyyyyy to long to stick in a tyre.

Don’t be too sure! Got a 3 to 4″ nail through my rear tyre today, went right through the tube and proceeded to rip the other side of the tube to shreds!

He or she must like that spot back in Dec 09 picked up half a carry bag full of nails and tacks half way up the slope of the shrine mound.Maybe we need a sign on the tree NO Nails,print someone with nature headings on it or something from the RSPCA.Might make them think twice!!!!!!!!!!.
