Evening folks… do you mind if a lonely Londoner comes along? I reckon if I leave home at 730 I could make it to Stourbridge by 10ish (according to the AA route planner anyhow!).

    Are you having a laugh?
Psychle is you really wanted to your more than welcome, but there are better rides to be had if you driving 2.5 hrs, than our (supposed) pottle[nicheness competition] round the stourbridge countryside

meh, I like to drive (and I only have a car for the next few days!) Is this just going to be a ride around bridleways and the like? or will it be offroad, but at a social pace?

social pace from this fat lad, as much off-road as we can do – which will no doubt entail bridgeways, cheekyness, some canal work and the occasional road.
Route will be flexible and has yet to be finalized – with the option to do more (by the sounds of things) at the ‘end’ of the ride for the newbie (which this was originally aimed at)

Drop me a mail and I’ll forward some postcodes (if your satnav’d up) – my email is some-where on one of these posts.

Wish I wasn’t working…how I long to be taken up the dirty one by Stu again.

My satnav is my Garmin 705, doesn’t seem to recognise postcodes! I’ve scoped out the map link you posted, seems easy enough to get to. How far are you looking to ride? I was thinking of going back to Swinley Forest tomorrow (went there for the New Years Day ride, was fun), but I’d be riding by myself if I do that, always nice to meet new people to ride with 🙂

I’ll drop you an email with my mobile number, if you could send me yours then I’ll give you a call when I’m up that way.

Cheers to all for the great day out – wasn’t sure what I was expecting but I had a great time and was surprised by the quality of the riding to be had in this tucked away corner of the midlands.

    Cheers!!!

    Yeah cheers all

Officially knackered now! If that was a “chilled” ride for the benefit of the newbie, I don’t think I wanna know what a “not so chilled” ride is 😉

Yeah, hats off to Andy for finishing the ride with a massive grin!!!

I know others who would have lost their smile after about 20k!!!

It was great showing you guys some of our trails.

Nice to see a newbie like Andy enjoy himself so much.

If you ever want to come back just give us a shout and I can show you a load of other stuff.

I can’t promise that the pace will be “chilled” again though. 😉

Today was a steady bimble with cake stop.

There was a bonus loop for some though. 😉

glad ppl enjoyed it :D, far more to do round here than first meets the eye.
Might have gotten a bit out of hand trying to show Andy what the area had to offer. 😳

Felt like we skirted round the west midlands rather than riding within it!!!

    LOL.

Most of the ride wasn’t actually in the west midlands.

We like to hop across the border without showing our passports. 😆
