  • WTF, Trail dog content
  • Looking at vids of FoD and came across this…

Poor pooch looked knackered after the first few hundred metres, secondly if it had tripped the bloke in yellow would have run it over, lastly, did it ever catch up?

Maybe karma that he fell off and broke some ribs?

Maybe the dog loved it and I’m being over sensitive?

I gave up after a few seconds due to the soundtrack.

I didn’t listen to the soundtrack

    I don’t like trail dogs.
In the wilderness fair enough it’s open game.
    At a trail centre no.
I’ve had a few near misses and I’ve hit a pooch side on whilst on the bike as it ran across me.

I’m more concerned how smooth that track is, another reason not to go to a TC

    Looks bloody boring and smooth.

And the riders and bikes were certainly not Enduro.

    It does look terribly boring

Non of the gear & no idea

It’s quite good that bit if you do it at a “descent” speed

Brilliant crash from the yellow goon at the end 😆

I quite like the final Verderers descent but only after a long day in the saddle. I am guessing that’s just after they resurfaced it. But yes it is smooth and fast. If you have a modicum of skill that is. This chap seemed to want to impress the viewers with tail whips off every pebble. Hardly surprising he ended up in a pile with his Adidas t-shirt covered in mud.

    Music didn’t suit riding.
    Dog shouldn’t have been there.
    I’m glad he fell off.

I though it was a fairly sick edit

Not at all, it was a comment more aimed at how poorly equipped he was with his arse practically hanging out. That can be a bloody quick trail and given he felt the need to try and whip everything insight perhaps he wasn’t dressed for the impending off!

Do people really ride that close to each other?
They want to be careful; if one of them were to fall, the rider behind might run into him and break his ribs or something

Only been to FoD once, and that track was good fun. However, the dog thing bothers me. I overtook some guy with a dog that decided I was more interesting than its owner, bounding round me on the climb for a few minutes until I shook it off at the next group.

I don’t really understand that decision process, taking dogs on a fast and busy track.

I wouldn’t ride behind Mr yellow at any cost. Utter shite and an accident waiting to happen!

    +1

If I take the dog its his pace not mine and not at a trail centre..
(DogOfDoom knows he’s going dogging when the fatty comes out)

On the flip side at least the dogs getting a decent workout – see many huskys round here being exercised 🙂 on a lead…

Nice bit of Purple there, not heard Speedking for a few years. Wonder what happened to my copy of Made in Japan.

Felt a bit sorry for the dog, nice looking Lab.

The problem with exercising huskys off the lead is they tend to disappear over the horizon never to be seen again. Huskys don’t do recall, as a couple of local residents discovered the hard way. One ended up shot, the other was eventually tracked down 15 miles away.
