Issue Is the remote thermostat is broken, so does anyone know if there is a way to manually force the heating to come on?

I have someone coming out late next week to replace the part but. it might be nice to have heating during the next week before they arrive

Have you searched for the manual of your model and search for emergency mode within the PDF, that should provide a way of manually activating the boiler

My wireless thermostat has like a reciver/control box inline with the power suply to the boiler, that you can switch to manual without the remote thermostat, or re-sync wireless contact with the remote thermostat…do you have anything like that?

Assuming the thermostat isn’t talking over Bosch’s proprietary control protocol then on the boiler PCB there will be a feed in from the thermostat.  You simply need to bridge this connection.  Check the installation instructions for nest, Netatmo, tado systems as they usually have directions to remove this jumper if no stat was in place.

You could try bridging on the stat too.
    Beware it might be 240v!
