    As above really. Been using shimano am4?s flat shoes last couple of winters. WonderEd how the freerider vxi elements compared for grip and weather proofing. I’ve got seal skin socks

    No idea on the freeriders but my impacts are waaaay grippier than the am41s I have for commuting.

    Been using 5.10 impact since 2008, excellent in winter and summer alike, I do wear waterproof socks in winter if its wet. Only issue is they take a little time to dry out but I store mine near our tumble dryer.
