    Hi,

I’ve got a exposure diabalo, which is ace. It runs for my three hour night rides with toggling between low and high power.

I’d like to run it on high for longer, but it’s £50 for a battery pack from exposure or a bit more for a bigger battery from mb batteries.

I have a single stick usb battery. If I plug it into the diablo will it let me run it at full power for much longer?

How can I work it out? I’d rather not run it at night and have it run out of power somewhere in the woods.

    It’s this battery

Those EE power banks were all recalled as they could explode you know !  Better off with an Anker cylinder battery bank – I use that to boost my Garmin over all day rides.

You could always test it at home, plug in light and leave on. If running high, it will need cooling though. It may work, it may not. It does mean your charge port won’t be waterproof, so bear that in mind.

All your questions are answered here: https://www.exposurelights.com/pages/faqs.  Short answer though is probably not – the 1A output of your battery pack is probably insufficient.  Simple enough to test though, just plug it in.  You don’t need to be out in the woods to test run time with and without the battery.

My Strada is a bit fussy about power banks. It won’t work on low power when plugged in but will still work on medium and high. Run time just decreases more slowly. As above, you can do some testing at home.
