I found 32mm stantioned forks such as Pike/Rev/Reba/Fox-32’s too flexy for my liking and the way I ride (I also broke the Pike and Rev).

I’m now running a Fox 36 Float with an internal spacer so the travel is reduced to 130mm… and I love them 8)

(ps. the short wheelbase and top tube make it very easy to hop, pop and jump about. This is great for the riding i’m doing over here)

Here is a pic of my 17″ Ragley Troof (before the top tube cracked). It rode really well with the fork at 160mm and I’m gutted that it broke and could not be replaced with the same. I don’t fancy a Bagger due to the extra weight and different size headset and post which would mean I can’t swap bits to my other bike.

Here is the 16″ Mmmbop which I will run until I find something else or it breaks. Fork travel reduced by 30mm so as not to ruin the geometry. Feels like BMX in comparison to the Troof but gives me huge grins. Shame I have to faff with the fork travel now to swap the forks between the bikes.

I have the Pig and although I don’t think I have it set up quite right just yet (I think I need a shorter stem) I’m very pleased with it. I have Pikes on it (95-140mm) and despite the slackness of head angle it climbs fairly well. I’ve found it to be in it’s element on very steep or fast technical downhills so it’s over kill for most stuff. It’s got big beefy tyres and downhill rims on it with a 1×10 drivetrain. I’ve found it to be faster and more fun than suspension bikes I’ve ridden downhill. I live in Scotland and tend to save the Pig for the big rocky days out in the mountains as like I said above it’s over kill for most stuff. Around 80% of my riding is done on a 120mm singlespeed. A friend of mine went to the alps recently and said the guides had Blue Pigs.
