    As in, what’s the one thing you could, and indeed would, eat until you explode.

    For me, it’s these little things;

    Xiaolongbao, a sort of soup dumpling. Preferably from Din Tai Fung. They’re filled with all manner of flavours, too many to choose from. Picked up in chopsticks, then the soup is sucked out of the dumpling, before dipping the rest in a soy and ginger sauce and devouring it. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

    Room for one more? Oh go on then….

    My home made taco shells and veg taco mix with soured cream, homemade chunky guacamole and shredded iceberg lettuce which is a must-have as the taco/chilli mix makes my eyes water and often gives me the hiccups due to the amount of chillies, although i do have an ultimate limit which is 6 taco’s before i start to feel rather unwell

    I consider all meals to be an event I must get out of the way, just to be polite, before I get on to the real business of the day… the cheese.

    Once I start, I’ll just keep going until I feel physically sick. I’d happily dispense with the starter and main course, pour a glass of port, and proceed directly to the cheese and biccies 🙂

    I’m with binners. Cheeeeeeeese. When the port and cheese comes out after the meal I could just eat and eat and eat. I usually tell the host to take it off the table in the end. No self control whatsoever.

    Most fried Indian snacks with accompanying hot chutney/sauce and a good chat masala. In fact my deepest fondest memories are around this sort of food, heart and belly full.

    Bastards. Was doing OK, now just raided the fridge for cheese. Fortunately only cooking cheddar, parmesan and a teeny bit of Oxford blue, so will prob only make about 5 trips.

    At least by making 5 trips I can offset the cheese cals by walking 15 steps each time.

    With you OP, I can eat those and drink Mexican beer ad infinitum, given enough run up and money pretty sure I could make myself pop.

    For savoury it would be crispy duck pancakes with hoisin sauce.
    For sweet it would be peanut M&Ms.
    Both are as addictive as crack cocaine.

    I went to a Din Tai Fung when I was in Shanghai (on CFHs recommendation I believe) and they were indeed amazing but after a few baskets I couldn’t eat.

    I’m back out there in a couple of weeks. Staying on the Bay, so will be in the one down there, or Raffles Plaza, maybe.

    I’ll be the one shovelling my face full!
