For a 200 mile weekend road ride?

    I’m thinking:-

    Leatherman tool
    3x spare tubes
    Puncture repair kit
    Hex key set
    Mini-pump
    CO2 kit
    Tyre levers
    Chain lube

Based on last year (5 punctures), this seemed to be ok. Anything I should add, or lose? Am thinking that I could do with a chain tool or spare link in there and could MTFU and lose the CO2 kit.

Agreed. Lose the C02, take a chain tool. Not sure about the leatherman either.
Why do you need tyre levers?

To get the tyres off the rims when I get a (frequent) puncture.

I’d take 3 tubes, some glueless patches, a tyre lever, pump and maybe a chain tool.

Oh, and if you’re puncturing frequently maybe look at getting some better tyres…

    Pump
    Multitool
    innertube
    puncture kit
    Sram links
    chain link
m5 and m6 nut and bolt
    cable ties

I have never needed anything more

Ditch the leatherman. two of the tubes, co2 kit and chain lube.

    Pump
    Tube
    Park super patches
    Topeak mini 18

You say ‘based on last year’ you had 5 punctures… 5 punctures in a year or 5 punctures in the same ride last year?

Even so 3 tubes won’t be enough, or if 5 punctures in one year you may luck out and not get any on this ride.

    hand pump
multi tool with hex/chain tool/levers in one
multi knife for the never no moments(corkscrew and bottle opener really 😉 )
smallest pot of lube u can find
    credit/debit card
    spare speed links
    small cable ties

Tyres are easy to get off without levers.

But I’d agree with Simon. You might want to look at better tyres. What pressure do you run at normally? 100 psi should be standard to start with.

    A proper multi-tool with a chain tool.

Why do folk cart those Leatherwoman things around.

@dangriff: Are you riding in a group? A quick tip for you – share out the stuff that you all have a chance of using. When I go camping/climbing, we share out the food & cooking pots etc. We always stay in a group so consider that if your group splits what will happen…

Working on the basis that everything you need will be a tool…

    Mobile phone?
    Panaracer Flat Away?
Baby wipes? These are always a god send. 😉

    Have a great ride.
