I’m thinking of having a go at bike trials. Whats a good entry level trials bike that I could learn to fall off without breaking it. I’m thinking a 26" wheel model might suit me better cos I’m over 6ft or wont it make a difference. How do you size up a trial frame anyway????

For real entry level the Saracen Flea’s are pretty good – if you can find one around (they stopped making them a while ago), but the Phase or Onza are not too bad either.

Trial bikes are almost one size fits all – you can get shorter or longer top tubes on the better bikes.

Bike radar has a Trials forum to find out more and there are few trials specific Forum/websites around – but to be honest as an older rider i found them a bit of a pain

its perfectly possible to do most stuff on any hardtail. have you got pretty good on a normal bike first? i think bikeradar had some how-to videos too, but i may be wrong.
