  • What saddle……..long rails?

So upgraded to a gravity dropper on a Prophet. Used to have a setback Thompson post. Obviously dropper is inline and this new position is not right for me.
Have tried putting saddle all the way back (charge spoon) but its not enough.
Have heard you can get saddles with long rails. Anyone with experience of these?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Uplink , thanks mate , have never seen anything like that before.

That gadget looks a bit agricultural!
I bought a Titec Berserker DH Ti saddle. Longish rails and long saddle.

I would suspect that the reason the GD was inline was to reduce the stress placed on it.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it bent with a seat radically far forward or back…

most ordinary saddles clamped right at the very front of the rails will break fairly easily, can’t see anything with longer rails being any better unless you go for one of those stupidly overbuilt sofas people stuck on FR/DH bikes in the late 90s.
is the frame far too small(short) for you?

    Thanks for replies.
GW hit the nail on the head, Ive a medium, and would be better with a Large. Right on the cusp so always a tricky call.

Swap the GD for an I-Beam one, they’ve a long ‘rail’?

I’d avoid I beam, they snap all too easily without the extra leverage of being clamped right back/forward.
