A bit of an update, the Gemma Hayes gig was postponed after she was carted off to hospital the day of the gig, while we were in London, and only found out when we got to the venue.
The upside is that we get to go back to The Oslo again on the 17th of January, and eat excellent food and drink excellent beer!
I’ve now got tickets for the Paper Aeroplanes next May, which I’m pleased about, I really love them, and I’m going to my first festival since 1995 next year!
I’ve got tickets for the Isle of Wight Festival, which should be a lot of fun. Headliners so far are Fleetwood Mac, (yay!), Black Keys, The Prodigy, and First Aid Kit have also been confirmed.
Great thing is I can leave my car with family at Fairham, and they’ll take me down to the ferry, which will only cost me around £16, instead of £160 or so to take the car over.
Angus and Julia Stone the other evening were a revelation, not what I was expecting at all, as I only have their first album and that’s fairly quiet and folky.
What I got was a crammed venue, and a band that really rocked, they were outstanding, really very good indeed, and I’m so glad I got tickets because of the Staves.
Who were also superb, but they always are.
Kate Rusby last night was also superb at The Forum in Bath, everyone seemed to have a great time.
