Currently I've got a narrow (560mm wide) carbon flatbar on my hardtail (yes with bar ends) and i've found at times it's not that manoeuvrable and feels very racey (obviously)

So i thought i'd try out some lo riser bars (640mm) from my old bike to see how it would be. I just felt like i wanted to jump the bike, loft the front wheel up and play around. Couldn't believe the transformation

So question is.. what bars for kielder? 😀

Just changed the flat 600mm steel bar that came with my bike to a 660 aluminium riser. Love it – bike is noticably lighter & livlier at the front, and the new riding position suits me better too.

it sounds like you're about 15 years behind the curve – get with the times grandad! – here in the 21st century it's all about flat bars on bikes with long forks …

so obviously you're not led by fashion, which probably means you've made a decision that's all your own.

i say carry on with this strategy, and make your own mind up for kielder. your decision is the right one.
