After being inspired by thegeneralist posts. I booked to do the WHW with my wife and 9 year old this half term. We finished yesterday exhausted about 7.30 after the obligatory photos.
We completed it in much the same way as above except we didn’t have a Jim so took a water taxi up past the bad bit of the loch and took the fire road after the first push up after Kinlochleven.
He spent to buzzing about it all day. Even with the initial disappointment that we couldn’t find a “I cycled the west highland way” t shirt. We eventuality got one modified at the granite house so he was happy. With today as a muck about day and a wonder up to see the pits for the World Cup. It’s been a pretty good week.
Would say we had excellent weather but In truth it was to hot. Who would have guessed that we would have a week of 27 degree weather in Scotland.
