Where have you been then ..or ..what’s your excuse for not getting out ?

Myself & my mate ( Jaco ) ..decided to ride a network of old railway tracks which have become very popular multi user tracks over the years ..mainly because I had a bit of work on Tyneside first ..so we started at Blaydon Rugby Club and headed up to Consett on the Derwent Walk..and came down the C2C route through Stanley turning off at Beamish Museum ..through the woods to the old disused Bowes Railway line ..and dropping back down to Swalwell via tracks through Sunniside & Whickham ..very straight forward and non technical but a good ride out all the same and quite nostalgic for me when passing close to where I spent most of my childhood ( Annfield Plain) ..and seeing the house I lived in for 18 years …

I’m sharing my #OffRoadBiking trip with you. Total distance 48.2 km, http://my.viewranger.com/track/details/OTE1MzI5Mg== . Via @ViewRanger

3hrs of singlespeeding yesterday being hounded by the armies finest/only attack copter ! a pair of them seemed to be in a drifting search pattern, endless circling for about an hour

went for a road ride today so glad I did the sun pop out after about five minutes which warmed up things nicely

grabbed a couple of pints of ghost ship on the way home ( i do love a pint of draft gs 🙂 )

Firstly I managed my second 10k run ever, this time under an hour… I ran on the road, reminding me how many lovely lanes we have around here.

Then today surroundedbyhills and I slid around local woods with Warriors youth club lot. Like riding on butter, in consistency and grip levels.

Brilliant to see the progression they are making, including fixing your own flipping quadruple snakebite punctures 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Went to comrie yesterday, crashed my new Swarf a few times on the utterly deadly slime covered rock slabs and board walks. Both the bike and I have some battle scars,

Out on the road bike yesterday, today I was on the gravel bike, ended up on Formby beach again.

The other day I bought one of those Bikehut 1600 lights that people are saying positive things about, the light got tested earlier.

I did 39 miles despite the pedal failing after 8 miles…

    Spot the axle!

Usual local rides Friday night and today (with an easy TrainerRoad session in between). Really must get further afield and ride something tech again before the year is out.

Belter of a route, Rich. Couldn’t quite work out how you were going to get everyone to Wasdale and back within the mileage – had visions of fully laden hike-a-biking up Rossett Gill. Let’s hope the ferry doesn’t break down again. 🙂

Just a 10mile ride over the South Downs this weekend. Feel quite lucky to have this on my door step with no road work.

Was a little on the wet and muddy side, even the horse was questioning the state of me!
