My Voodoo was getting a bit rattley at the front end, when I took it apart, the lower bearing is quite worn (I have cleaned and reassembled but there is a bit of slop even by hand)

The bearing was hard to get out of the frame seems to measure 44mm across externally and 31 mm across internally.

Not really sure what to replace with – any experiences? Are all bearings 45degrees?

I could buy some more loose bearings, but think the bike has only done about 500 miles in total (purchased second hand)

What would you recommend? – any links to bearings that would fit would be welcomed!

    Cheers

Pop into Halfords and they can do a parts by bike spec search on the system for an exact replacement or an upgrade.

Sounds like you have a ZS 44/30 which is a Hope Type B

I asked a similar question 8 months ago. Bought the frame second hand for £100 so didn’t want to spend more than half again on a Hope headset. Uberbike fit the bill for £30. See link towards bottom of this thread.
