I’ve not done much video editing before, so I understand that whatever software I choose will have a pretty steep learning curve.

Anyway, I think I might have a go at using/learning/getting angry at Lightworks (http://www.lightworksbeta.com/), mainly as it’s free (other main two options are Premier Pro and Vegas).

Anyway, anyone used it, or had much experience with it? How is it to use, and to learn to use? Any tips for a beginner?

I use the Movie Studio version of Vegas. The tutorial stuff you can download is good as is the How Do I?” help.

Haven’t tried Lightworks though. Looks worth a go especially as there’s a free version to try.
