I’m not sure that “planning” is the right word to use with Trump. I think he just kicks ideas around and sees how people respond, then goes with whatever seems to get cheers.

Yeah deep fake stuff is fascinating and I’m permanently reminding my kids half the stuff they see isn’t real as it’s either faked or deep-faked (evidence, motive, method). Have a read up on detection and mitigation mechanisms too. Like anything war (this is the information war) it is and will continue to be an arms race.
