    Is that download going to be a gdpr issue?
    That could be nice little fine for them

    Although being more widely adopted gdpr is a European thing so it’s unlikely.

    But applies to any data subject who is in the EU though if the data is going to be used to identify and prosecute those who are openly approving violence etc. you could probably make a case for processing the data under 3 bases:

    – processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject;
    – processing is necessary in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person;
    – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;

    Some VERY prominent Tory MPs on Parler, quite a few joined on the same day. So far we’ve one outright denial from an MP…

    That needs a whole lot of publicity.

    Should be a crime to alter headlines and articles a couple of years down the line too….

    Nothing wrong with signing up to see what the mood / vibe is or to wade in and challenge people however futile that probably is. Obviously said MP’s motives may have been different.

    My response entirely on reading the technical analysis of the hack (yes it quite clearly was a hack but when you paint a target that big on your back)

    I get that but I don’t see anyone being extradited for this any time soon – do you?

    Lols at the parler thing. That’s beautiful.

    Surprised AWS suspicious activity alerts didn’t go off during the data extraction, especially on an account due to be closed, glad they got it all though. I would also have thought AWS had backups that law enforcement could have requested if required (they’ve probably already archived them now).

    If their security was that crap, I imagine that every spy agency in the world already had all their data anyway.

    That White House Office of Pardon Attorney is wonderful, I suspect they will hook a few people with that.

    I actually miss Trump on Twitter. I agree with the ban but I quite enjoyed his real time melt downs.

    How long do you think it will take for Melania to ditch him once he is out of office?

    Reading the detail on the Parler attack, wow, especially the bit on the verified citizens.
    the thing is if anyone in the eu is affected then the Parler owners could be given a monster fine, no extradition needed.

    As quick as she can before he goes bankrupt, I’d suggest….

    She is but the ice queen at the top of the iceberg. The Trump name is toxic to many now. This will echo through his business life and finances.

    Melania will follow the money.

    She could quite possibly be looking at the biggest divorce settlement in history. Nod and smile.

    That’s assuming Trump actually has any tangible assets. In which case, unlucky, Ivank’s, all that passive coitus for nothing.

    It’s called cancelling yourself I think.

    Andrew Neil’s first Twitter response to the unfolding chaos when seeing the mob charging up the grassy knoll in front of the Capital building was:

    “I’ve seen more people at a St Mirren game”

    I think someone once remarked whilst having a litre of beer at a Munich beer hall:

    “I’ve seen more people at a Bayern game”.

    I think you could make the case that being Melania is more repugnant than being Donald. You could argue he can’t help being who he is, an unhinged sociopath. She however made the conscious decision to attach herself to him and by default everything he is and stands for. It’s not like he was desperately likable when she met him – he didn’t morph into what he is now when it was too late.

    I’m expecting Dominion to sue Trump(s) & Giulliani as soon as he’s out of the WH. Melania had better be quick whilst she has anything left.

    They already did the White House Pardon thing on Parler, the people who provided their info were not happy when they found out it was being sent straight to the FBI.

    That side of thing reminds me 100% of people who get caught by speeding cameras- it’s never their fault, it’s always the camera. Like the law is supposed to be a sport played by honourable and mutually agreed rules and of course it doesn’t count if you’re caught by some method you personally disapprove of. And there’s nothing wrong with committing a crime of course, only being caught.

    @convert you are right.

    As I say, she will leave for the money, not for hate of the donald. She has aligned herself to him and seen it through. I can’t imagine (*shudder*) she is staying for the sex – so I do think that as his money and power wain she will look elsewhere…

    Theres half of the $200,000 a year presidential pension assuming impeachment is not successful.

    If I was the Director of FBI sitting on that leak, this is how I would feel right now…..

    Must be a great feeling to create a huge list of arrest warrants for **** with only a moderate amount of effort.

    The idiot alt-right has seemingly walked itself off a cliff. Where’s Ninfan et al so we can laugh at them?

    If I was the Director of FBI

    Registered republican Comey was the previous director, abused and politicised his role and probably tipped the 2016 election in Trump’s favour, but wasn’t loyal enough for Trump and was replaced. I wouldn’t be relying on the current director to put country first.

    Notice how the anti big corporation sentiment has died down from 2010?

    2010? What the hell happened to the sentiment of the late 90’s/early 2000’s? When did May Day last make the news?
