TV / freesat / DVD advice please

I'm looking to replace a knackered Hitachi 32" LCD TV, a toddlerised DVD player, and an old Sky box which we use to get the free to air channels as aerials don't work here.

From John Lewis I was considering the following

Sony Bravia 32" HD TV
Humax freesat digital TV recorder
and a basic Sony DVD player

We also have a Nintendo Wii to plug into it, and I'd like it on the wall out of reach of the urchins.

Will that lot do the job ok?

I would stump up the extra £60 for a blue ray player instead of DVD. Will blow you away!!

Sounds good. Am I correct in thinking I would also need 2 HDMI cables, one for the DVD/bluray into the TV, and one for the freesat box?
