    Anything with a loose adaptor is going to be missing that adaptor when it’s needed. There’s a lot to be said for the “magic” heads on Joe Blow track pumps and the like.

    Yep, as above, it’s utterly predictable that a loose adaptor will go missing, so speccing it in the first place is a glaring design fault. Not something the tester should be blaming on their own stupidity.
