I’m stripping down a second hand Fuel EX9 frame and checking all pivots before building it up.
I cant seem to remove the main pivot (the bottom one near the BB). The non-drive side nut just spins around, and there is nothing on the drive side to stop it from spinning.
I’ve noticed there is a hex bolt inside the drive-side nut. Do i need to turn the hex bolt at the same time as turning the external nut? I dont want to brake anything!
    Thanks,

I have a sneaking suspicion thats my old frame! Hullo! Singletrack is a disturbingly small world sometimes.

This link suggests its the hex bolt. Im 90% certain the 2010 and 2011 frames are pretty much identical.

    Thanks for that.
Well, if you live in Perth Australia and sold me the frame on Saturday,…. Then yes, it’s your old frame. Very small world.
I’ve re greased all the pivots (opened up the bearings) and it is running nice and smooth now. A couple of the bearings were a little stiff.
Looking forward to getting my rear wheel concerted to 12×142 so I can actually test out the suspension. At the moment, I can’t even fit a rear wheel to test it.
