A bit of context here – after a sudden need for a wee at 4am, I noticed some brilliant rainbow colours from a teardrop shaped crystal of my mum’s hanging in the landing window, but I couldn’t figure out what it was causing it. Turns out it was the moon! Not a great photo, after I went and got my phone, but I’m amazed at the brilliance of the colour.

Now, if I could just maintain this level of consistency, only a little to the left and down…

Lots of nice wispy cirrus about today…

Some broken branches? 🤷🏼 This is the Bybrook, at Ford, not far from Chippenham, where my dad was born and grew up, and the same river that flows through Castle Combe. It signifies something I never, ever thought I’d see; there are beaver in the river, and there are tooth marks on those branches!

This is the church above, after Cromwell’s army burned the roof and used it for cannon practice, before setting sail from Bristol to Ireland.  It was tastefully restored by the Victorians. The grave with the headstone in the foreground is where members of my family are buried.

A little more consistently central, but this is at 40yds, the previous one at 30yds. Tweaking my form, and my sights a bit, hopefully might show a bit more of an improvement. 🤞🏼

Semi-comatose bee I found on my front doorstep after taking the cloud photo, picked it up and put it on a flower out the back, which didn’t work, so mixed up some sugary water, which it’s drinking in the photo. After a while it revived and flew off – my good deed for the day. The squadron of bumblebees nesting just inside my garden shed need no such help.
(Not got the emoji issue sorted yet, then?)

    Some of my garden visitors:

It’s very happy scavenging the sunflower seeds from the fatballs the birds won’t eat.
