Hear hear Sir! I echo your comments – it has been a pleasure to meet the Q's riders and be shown such lovely trails there and on Exmoor. 8)

Have made lots of friends this year from lots of great rides, long may it continue!

    Watch out you Northerners!

C_G will be coming your way next year but giving the Lakes a wide berth due to fear of being snapped by STW's resident perv and having my ar$e displayed in a scenery shot posted on here 😉

He's alright really. He certainlty knows his stuff , but I still have nightmares about night riding singletrack RIGHT ON THE EDGE of a cliff! 😉

Simon, that bit you took us round is what what the Yanks call "high consequence singletrack" 🙂

I've only seen it once before, on Porcupine Rim, Moab. We actually walked this little bit, it was worse than it looks, and we were the only ones on the trail that day….. That's a road next to the Colorado River down there! 🙂

    EDIT
Found a better shot of it. It's about 10-15m at 45 degrees than a vertical drop. Most of the trail is further from the edge but this bit makes you stop and worry slightly!

Ah Roland – don't put yourself down mate – I hope I can ride that well when I'm retired. And you haven't really retired, you're off to work in Whistler you cheeky so and so. Hope to get to get to ride with you again sometime before you go.

My fav group ride is still the SWT Forum Exmoor Safari that you and Paul arranged. And you persuaded Chipps to ride with us all last weekend, so thanks to you.

Simon – you wouldn't be talking about the 'Dunsop Bridge Death Ride' would you?

Only done that once (in the daylight) & my innate fear of drops made me walk it – very gingerly at that!

Tis an honour to ride with you , you old bu55er . Anyway lots more rides to do in the weeks/months to come. This year has been rather good riding wise, lots of new friends and routes etc.

no, this was the cliff between Arnside and Silverdale – much scarier than Ouster Rake 🙂 I don't think I have any decent pics of it.
