You can get up onto the trails from the Bamford to Ladybower path that runs down the side of the garden centre rather than pedalling up the road into Hope unless you are doing some of the stuff from around Castleton and Edale. I would avoid Cavedale on a Bank Holiday weekend as the last part is best done without having to stop for walkers

Still not 100% on the Specialized due to issues a mate had and had to reject his after multiple motor failures in first 5 weeks.

To echo Tracey, albeit I don’t do anything like the miles that her and the fam do, my 4 year old Kenevo hasn’t missed a beat. The original battery is at 89% health but that will be from keeping it in a cold shed. Bought another one anyway

Well it was a very interesting day. He was on rail 5, it’s got sone weird traits in terms of power delivery. At 15.7 the battery/power doesn’t just end, it’s like hitting the brakes, the cranks don’t rotate like on the Liv.
I was happy down all descents on the Liv, no dropper lol. It made me see I don’t need a better one. I didn’t struggle in any way against way more expensive bikes. Even on the road against derestricted bikes it put on a good show.
I also tried a Specialized SL, which was arguably the worst of both world rather than the best.

    Currently, the Liv wins.

    Get the Rail!

I didn’t like the suspension on the hire levo I had – Fox Rhythym. Maybe the more expensive ones are better with Fox Elite. Much preferred the Rockshox on the base models. Also not a fan of mixed wheel sizes!

However the majority of the ebikes in the same price band come with the same components and ride similarly – it just depends what motor you prefer and if you have a local dealer to fix any problems.

I hired a Lapierre Overvolt (mixed wheel size) to get to the top of Skiddaw a few weeks back – really good fun if I’m honest and was able to cycle the majority of the uphill – something I couldn’t do on my normal bike.

Was brilliant. We did what is I think the Ladybower route with Potato Alley and some farm climb.

It’s so so alien to me riding stuff like that and takes a while to get your head around the rocks.
    Stopped for a beer

Lucky the pub has just opened back up after quite a long closure. It’s great to pop out at the side for a mid ride pint

This bloomin’ forum/thread (looking at you especially Tracey) just cost me the price of a Levo Comp for my wife’s birthday 😉 TBF, it does look nice though

    Congratulations! Nice job

Funnily enough, it saved me £5500

If all goes according to plan it’ll be a game changer. 2 children followed by redundancy, retraining, etc has pretty much taken out 6 years of riding fun – time to go again (with no fitness anxiety)!

BPW on the Liv today. Got 4 runs in and not sure the battery would manage the5th.
It’s also playing up again. Not switching off but power wouldn’t go up from 1dot.
It was surprisingly good though here and happy on all red and blue trails

Maybe you hit ‘power saving mode’? Mrs SSS’s Specializeds restrict to i think 20% power output when it hits a specific battery level

Designed to ‘get you home’ with some support level….
