Birthday ride today.
Over 2000 metres of descent seems like a nice way to spend a morning.

Early morning ride for me – cold, grey and still really muddy in places – colourful bluebells and rapeseed, thought would have looked nicer with a blue sky!
A cracking ride last night over the tops and then down through the woods after an enforced diversion for live firing on the ranges. We finished in the beer garden of the Hare and Hounds and had a couple of pints and watched the Champions League semi on their big outdoor screen. Midweek evenings really don’t get much better than that 😀
I had a ride around Whinlatter for the first time in years after work today and really enjoyed it.
I came up the Braithwaite road so picked up the south side blue trail on to the red sections of the south and then over to do the full north red trail.
It is quite nice and flowing for the drop bar bike.
A rare occasion yesterday I got out to the actual woods for a ride, with actual hills*, and actual trails. Got a bit of a beating on the rigid MTB but was expecting it and taking it easy(ish) to reduce impact. Brakes got a good workout! Need to get my Bird Zero TR back up and running with 130 forks. *compared to my regular doorstep riding.
Only one picture for me so far on this weeks rides.
As this tyre is now seemingly as much plug as tyre I’ve pushed the boat out and ordered a new one. 🤣 Plugged. by StuartBrettle[/url], on Flickr
