    Sir Ranulph Fiennes in Marathon des Sables record bid

    He will be 71 and doesn’t like heat too much!

    Back to the water – Grand Inga project, the worlds biggest river Rapids. Well worth getting the documentary.

    Yes there is a kayak in that water – somewhere 😯

    This is the little ‘training’ river, aka the Nile.

    I always look at those multi-expsoure photos and initially think it’s some sort of formation bike riding team doing a display.

    Some lovely stuff today, folks! I really like that ski jump one, sums up the lunacy of the sport for me!

    How about some of this;
    Chris Benchetler on some phatt planks

    And, just to prove he does sometimes face the right way;

    Sadly Shane Mcconky died skibasing supposedly when one of his Tyrolia pre-release bindings (the comedy ones from the 80s that you could trick people in lift queues with), didn’t.

    Candide’s landing from that very jump almost cost him his mobility. He went on to much greater things though in the free skiing arena

    The Bender shot is obviously enhanced by the duplication of a couple of layers of strata.
    Not taking anything away from the man though!
